What happens next

From your message to a written quotation

You do not need drawings or measurements to get in touch. A rough idea of what you want is enough for a first conversation.

  1. We reply within one working dayA short call or email to understand the house, the space you need and your rough budget. If you would like a guide figure before any visit, give us the rough size in the form and we will ring you with one.
  2. Free site surveyWe visit, measure up, and look at access, drainage and the boundaries. We also check whether the work may fall under permitted development or is likely to need planning permission, and explain that Building Regulations approval is needed either way.
  3. Written, itemised quotationYou get the price in writing, broken down line by line, so you can see what is included and compare it with other quotes. There is no obligation to go ahead.
Before you send the form

What to tell us, and what helps at the survey

In your enquiry

Your postcode, the type of house (for example terraced, semi-detached or detached), what you want the new space for, a rough size if you know it, and when you would like work to start. A budget range helps us suggest the right type of extension.

At the survey

Any existing plans or drawings, details of earlier extensions or planning decisions on the house, and whether it is listed or in a conservation area, if you know. If you share a wall or boundary with a neighbour, tell us, as Party Wall notices may be needed.

What we build

Not sure which type of extension you need?

Each page below explains what the work involves, indicative costs and the planning points. Pick the closest match in the form and we will advise on the rest at the survey.

Rear extensions

Single storey builds across the back of the house, including kitchen extensions and open plan extensions.

Side extensions

Using the driveway or alley beside the house, from a side return extension on a terrace to a garage conversion.

Double storey extensions

Extra rooms on both floors, often a bigger kitchen below and a bedroom extension above.

Loft conversions

A new bedroom in the roof. Most are a dormer loft conversion or a hip to gable loft conversion.

Wrap around extensions

Rear and side joined into one L shaped extension for the largest ground floor gain.

Orangeries and conservatories

A glazed room on the garden side. Compare an orangery extension with a conservatory extension.
